#7 RSS & Bloglines

RSS in plain English video helped me understand the concept - instead of going to the store to buy your periodicals, have them deliver to your mailbox. Information you need and want is definitely, just a click away. Bloglines sign up was easy. I've chosen my newsfeeds with some delay but added them successfully.

#6 Photos and Flickr

I found an interesting mosaic of flowers in this URL - very colorful. The clusters of frames are highlighted light to dark. Each frame is made up of individual flowers. As I point at individual tiny frame, it grows to an inch square making the picture more detailed and clear.

I have this URL of a flickr photo "the pleasure of an evening among books." After some frustration of unsuccessfully uploading a picture from flickr, I opened my blogger, clicked on Mozilla Firefox and googled flickr, searched for library book pictures, picked one, copied the URL, then pasted it on this blog.

First blog

Among the 7 habits, I have minor problems with 1 to 3. I consider myself as a fast learner but I have confidence issues. My mind is quick with ideas but slow in responding to situations because I have to think things through. I guess I could create my own learning toolbox but organization is not one of my strong point. Technology is wonderful but my knowlege is not up to date. Blogging is something new to me. Teaching and mentoring others is difficult due to lack of confidence stemming from a "speech impediment."
